It seemed to be handled as well as could be expected. It appears that those selected for provisional redundancy were phoned and asked to go to a meeting room. I hope a the procedures and reasons were explained to them. They were then probably given the opportunity to go home for the day. Theoretically, they are to go through 'individual consultation' over the next three weeks. I don't know if that means there is they have the chance to reverse their selection. But already, I've gotten some emails of the sort 'Please send emails about this project to Petra, as she's looking after the socio-economic strategy now.'
