Now that I’m a poor student, I feel less guilty about taking things. Here is a list of things in my room that I have not acquired through strictly legal means.
- A blue scarf, which was hanging on a hook in the University Centre for almost two months. One night, I was coming out of the Centre and I felt cold so I took the scarf.
- A plastic 30 cm ruler. There were about three of them in the lost property box of the Engineering Department computer lab.
- A fluorescent ankle strap to prevent my trousers leg from getting caught in the bicycle chain. This strap was resting on a radiator at the Engineering Department. It didn’t seem to belong to anybody.
- A pen, which I took home after the College pub quiz night.
- An umbrella sock to keep my umbrella from dripping. I found it on the footpath.
Hehe poor foreigners in Japan usually go shopping at the 100yen shop, which sells just about everything! Most of the things in my house is from there hehe, you can buy some fantastic little inventions like a cappuccino milk frother!
